Sports Medicine Committee praises the support of NOC in making qualitative achievements

The Sports Medicine Committee praises the support of the Olympic Committee in making qualitative achievements for its legendary career.

The Sports Medicine Committee of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) praised the achievements of the past period at all levels, whether Dubai won the right to host the 38th edition events of the International Congress of Sports Medicine in 2024 or the selection of national cadres in the Committee in more than one sports medical organization at the external level, thereby enhancing the standing of the UAE and its cadres in this important specialty in the sports sector.


This was during a meeting of the Olympic Sports Medicine Committee, which was held yesterday, via video conferencing, presided by Dr. Hashel Al Tunaiji, in the presence of Abdullah Al Rahoumi, Vice President of the Sports Medicine Committee of the National Olympic Committee, and members Dr. Abdullah Al Baron, Dr. Farhat Fadloun, Dr. Ramzy Ross, and Kamel Abdullah, the Rapporteur of the Committee.


At the beginning of the meeting, the Committee extended its sincere thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE National Olympic Committee (NOC), for his unlimited support and continuous follow-up, which had a prominent impact on recording new successes in the name of UAE sports, thus enhancing the vision and directions of our wise leadership on the importance of consolidating the country's reputation in keeping with the sixth principle of the principles of the 50.


During the meeting, the attendees congratulated Dr. Hashel Al-Tunaiji for winning the membership of the Development Committee of the International Federation of Sports Medicine on the margins of the events of the recent international conference in Mexico, In addition to congratulating Dr. Abdullah Al Rahoumi for his success in passing the Sports Medicine Certificate from the International Olympic Committee, thus becoming the first Emirati doctor to obtain this distinctive certificate, in which the study addresses the most important aspects of sports injuries, athletic preparation and ways to prevent various injuries, , as well as his winning of the membership of the Executive Committee of the Asian Federation of Sports Medicine on the margins of the meetings held in Hong Kong during December 2022.


The meeting witnessed a review of the most prominent upcoming sports stations and their great importance to the UAE sport and the national Olympic movement through the list of external benefits and participations included in the agenda of the National Olympic Committee. This is something that the Sports Medicine Committee is keen to prepare for and develop all visions related to accompanying sports delegations and medical supervision during the period of various competitions.
