Gulf Olympic Executive Office calls for activating games organising committees
Tripartite team to coordinate staging Gulf Sports Tournaments
More cooperation with JOC in sports media and women sports

The Executive Office of Gulf NOCs Presidents called for activating participation in Olympic events at Arab, regional and international sports events. It recommended the Arab Gulf states to play a more positive and coordinated role and activating the organising committees of various games in the Gulf region.
These recommendations were unveiled following the 88th meeting of Executive Office of Gulf NOCs Presidents held in Muscat (7-10 April) where the UAE NOC was represented by a delegation headed by HE Talal Al Shenqeeti, Acting Secretary General. The delegation also included HE Salih bin Ashour, Assistant Secretary-General for Technical & Sports Affairs, Hasan Taleb Al Marri, Director of the Technical Office of the Board and Executive Office, Ahmed Al Tayeb, Director of Sports & Technical Affairs, and Batti Al Abdouli, Director of Follow-up and Development Office at the NOC.
The meeting stressed the importance of the timely staging sports competitions including beach games, women sports, and indoor games. It set up a three-member team from the Sultanate of Oman, Kuwait and the General Secretariat of the Arab Gulf States to coordinate the staging of three games.
In a meeting held with representatives of the Jordanian Olympic Committee at the sidelines of the Executive Office Meeting, the JOC was interested in taking part in several Gulf sports events. The gesture was endorsed by leaders of Arab Gulf states, who directed for more cooperation with the JOC.
The JOC identified the possible fields of cooperation in exchanging visits of sports delegations, coaches, and physical education experts to share practical sciences, information and vision about the sport. It also focused on effective partnership in the team and individual games and reciprocal participation in sports events and preparation of sports cadres.
The Executive Office called for more cooperation with the JOC and Gulf NOCs in sports media, women sports, combating sports harassment and intolerance, as well as infrastructure-related projects and making sports a national priority as well as all other aspects such as combating sports harassment and intolerance, infrastructure-related projects and making sports a national priority among others.
