Our Athletes Continuing Training in Advance of Tokyo Olympiad

Saif bin Futais, the shooter of our National Team, has continued preparedness to participate in the Skeet Shooting to be held on 25, 26 of the current month, as a part of the competitions of the Olympiad games arranged in Tokyo, the Japanese Capital.

The competition shall be starting by Friday, after tomorrow, and shall be concluded by August 8th. 11,000 athletes shall participate representing 206 countries, contesting in 33 sports, comprising 339 games in 42 sports playgrounds.

Our twin Jodo players of our National Team; Victor Skertove and Ivan Romanko are continuing their preparedness to participate in the competitions under 73 Kg and above 100 Kg consecutively. The trainings have witnessed great seriousness and focusing on raising of the physical and mental fitness, and speeding up the competence in response level, where it is one the most crucial factor in the Jodo games.

Yousuf Al Matrooshi the swimmer of our National Team and his coach Marawan Al-Hitawi arrived to participate in 100 free meters. Engineer Azza Bint Suleiman, the Assistant Secretary General of National Olympiad Committee for the Administrative and Financial Affairs shall leave today.


In this respect, Ahamad Al-Tayeeb informed that all the athletes whom already announced in the press conference, held by the National Olympiad Committee recently, have been all registered; they are Saif Bin Futais in Skeet Shooting, Victor Sekertove and Ivan Romarenko in Jodo, Yousuf Al Matrooshi in Swimming, the Runner Mohamad Hassan Al-Noobi, where Fatima Al-Hosani has been exempted, in the line of the International League that she will not be able to participate in Discus Throwing.
