UAE Olympic Committee’s Gender Equality Committee Organises “Her Voice On and Off the Field” Workshop

With the participation of women from sports federations, including administrators, referees and athletes

The UAE Olympic Committee’s Gender Equality Committee organised a dedicated women’s training workshop titled “Her Voice On and Off the Field” at the Committee’s headquarters in Dubai yesterday morning, with the participation of women from national sports federations, including administrators, referees and athletes.

The workshop was held in conjunction with Emirati Women’s Day, launched by H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Nation”, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, in recognition of the role of Emirati women and their outstanding contributions across various fields.

Dr Noura Sultan Al Marzouqi, member of the Gender Equality Committee, presented the workshop’s main themes, which aimed to support the presence of Emirati women and strengthen their role in the sports sector, while developing their skills in communication, public presence, media engagement, and building an impactful media image.

The workshop addressed a range of training themes designed to enhance the participants’ self-confidence and develop their professional and media presence, contributing to women’s empowerment and strengthening their voice on and off the field.

The workshop forms part of the UAE Olympic Committee’s continued efforts to support women’s participation and empowerment in sport through initiatives and programmes that enhance their skills and contributions across various areas of sports work.
