NOC Delegation participates in Gulf NOC Presidents meeting in Muscat

The NOC UAE Delegation has departed to Muscat, Oman, to participate in the 31st meeting of presidents of Gulf National Olympic Committees, the 88th meeting of the Executive Office, and the joint meeting of the Executive Office with presidents and representatives of organising committees of the Gulf sports. The meetings will start on Sunday and continue for three consecutive days.
The NOC UAE delegation is headed by H.E Talal Al Shanqeeti, Acting Secretary-General of the National Olympic Committee and H.E Saleh bin Ashour, Assistant Secretary-General for Technical and Sports Affairs.
The Executive Office meeting will see several discussions and decisions in the interest of the Gulf Sport in addition to a discussion with the Secretary-General of the Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC), Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia, representatives of the Asian Games and the Asian Beach Games.
The meeting of the Gulf NOCs Presidents will cover several topics, most importantly, following up on the implementation of the Resolution of the 36th Supreme Council’s held in Riyadh 2015 regarding the vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques about volunteering. The meeting will also discuss the Settlement of Dispute Authority of the Gulf Games, in addition to School sports, physical literacy, joint sports strategy, and the proposal to launch a Gulf League in several sports for Elite Clubs. The meeting will also discuss honouring personnel working in the sporting field, addressing the international cooperation and Sports Games, awards for sports and environment, and the outstanding organising committee award.
